As some would know, i don't drink liquor at all.. not beer.. not red wine.. not white wine.. not nothing...

i prob took my first (and last) sip of beer when i was 5 when i saw my dad's cold glass of beer on the table.. i was thirsty and curious (more of the latter) and took a sip. my love affair for liquor never took out.. muhahahha... so far i've tried bourbon, red wine, white white, e33 (yes, laugh), vodka, martini.. bleah.. nothing interests me

so i read on the SPUG forum that Bailey's Irish Cream is so good so good can..

so on the plane to the maldives.. i jus ordered lor...since free mah...

i was pretty excited when it came.. it smells nice.. nice milky fragrance.. i love milk.. first sip.. wow... "i think we have a winner here, niggers". nice and thick.. mmmmmmmm i can get used to this.. then the alcoholic aftertaste kicked in.. and i was like.. "bleah". how can anyone like this..

Maldives: Part Duex

Gosh, it's beautiful...

i forgot to mention that my boss and i were given a villa EACH!!! i was like COOL!!!!!!!! i mean we usually take separate rooms when we travel but for a 48-villa resort, i thought 2 villas was kinda a lot..

i woke up to the sun shining on my face and apparently the villa has a back door too.. that leads directly to the beach... i just walked out in my boxers and nothing else and wow... the ocean and the breeze just took my breath away.............. then i realised the other villas were damn nearby n decided to go back to get a lil' more decent n grabbed my cam...

A Lil' Piece of Paradise

finally have time to post the pics..phew..

Maldives.. i arrived in the dead of the night... tired from the 4-hr flight. the smell of salt permeates the air. the airport is a lok-kok one which doesnt impress me terribly. the impending 20-minute speedboat right did little to pique my excitement... so there we both were.. 2 guys along with 8 other noisy taiwanese in a dark speedboat.. skimming the sea's surface into nothingness... gosh, it felt like we were drug trafficking in those HK movies..

the jetty of the resort was damaged a lil during the tsunami... and still under repair.. in the dead of the night, i couldnt see anything.. i was kinda disappointed. i mean come on, this is like one of the best resorts in the maldives and surely it has to be grander n nicer than this.. but as i walked along the jetty... the lights that lined both sides illuminated the water and man.. it was clear.. so so clear i could see some fishes swimming with just minimal light from the jetty... i found myself gaping...here's a pic of it in the day time...

Another New Toy

along with over a year's procrastination with blogging, i wanted to get a camera to make my would-be-created blog more interesting... now that i got my blogspot account set up.. all i needed was some moolah and some motivation to go look..

i always wanted to get a Sony T3...but of cause the main factor is the cost and memstick...stoopig proprietary memstick...


the main impetus came when i knew i was flying to the maldives and visting 3 properties.. i mean it'd be a mortal sin if i went to paradise without a cam right.. and so, despite my busy schedule before my flight, i was in SLS 3 hrs before my flight.. hahahah...

at my SPUG fren, Lomeo's suggestion, i went to Alan's Photo.... his buddy can give me a discount and a recommendation..immediately the buddy of his shot down Sony.. say it's lousy... canon is all right but a lil too fat for my taste... panasonic not v good.. so in the end, it was down to Nikon and Casio... in the end Casio Exilim Z-57 won my heart with it's generous 2.7" LCD screen, long battery life and slim body...i think i totally embarassed myself with my lack of knowledge.. i mean come on, i jus decided that i wana buy it today then i just went down. no research no nothing...

the guy said "surely u know the market price for tis one. im giving u a good price"

i said " no i dun"

he said " surely u know casio is good right"

i said " no i dont.. i only knew cos u said so"

i think the penultimate sian-ness came when i tested the cam and pressed the auto-focus function too hard... he must think im a brute...

in any case, i got a free 256mb SD card together with my own 1GB and 256MB SD cards.. (i can now carry 1.5GB worth of SD cards around.. boy im a geek)

and so there u go.. pics of my new baby.. taken with a 1.3megapixel hp cam... no justice at all to the 5MP silver beauty..

phew.... just touched down at Changi from the Maldives at 7am and I was back at work at 10am...damn.. im a good worker... muhahahahahah

The Replacement Cuppa

i went down all the way to Orchard today just to get a replacement cup before going down for soccer. quite bo liao la..but i jus want some semblence of personal stuff in the office, rather than using the office glasses...

here's a pic of it.. it's the same brand as my previous cup... Ritzenhoff

but this one aint a beer glass but more of a mlk glass.. more apt i guess since i dun drink beer and i love milk...the cup comes in a milk carton and the words on the cup says "Power to the People". hopefully i drink from it, i'll get more power... :)

My Cup Broke...

Shit!

i thought the week would turn for the better towards the end after a horrendous monday...and the best thing is i broke my cup... argh.. im so sad.. it's prob the most expensive cup i bought myself...and i kinda like its size and the feel to it... even though it's a beer glass and i dont drink beer at all....bleah...

My New Toy

i recently sold off my 3G 20GB iPod n got the new 4G 20GB (with color screen) iPod... all thanks to xhlim... i actually didnt know that it was a new model.. i jus thought that i didnt know of it cos i hadnt kept track of iPod development for some time... turns out it aint even out in the stores yet by the time it got delivered to my office....

im not as excited as her la.. she upgraded from an iPod shuffle to a 20gb one...

the only thing new to me is the color screen and the ability to charge via USB 2.0..

and i bought a Radtech Sleevz indigo for my new baby...
