Back

After two countries, seven cities, 6 plane rides, 3 train rides, countless miles of travel, I am finally home.

It's a great feeling to be back home.

My own room, my own bed, my own blanket, my own tv with cable (in english). And of course my car. :)

Sunday was thus a day of maintenance: I went to cut my hair, wash my car and did a pedicure. i feel so much cleaner and lighter after all the grime from the travelling.

There wasnt much posts on Brisbane and Perth cos they're exactly pretty similar citiea and extremely boring really. Huge bleah... it was so difficult to find decent food there.

My colleague intro-ed us this apple strudel place in Perth which was supposed to be super nice and super duper famous.

Since it was a lobo saturday after we left, we decided to take a 20-minute walk to find it. I decided to buy 7 条s while my colleague wanted 4 条。Out of which we'd bring three to the office on Monday.

When we got there, the lady said that they had run out of apple strudels...

WHAT THE....

Turns out it's Father's Day the next day in Australia (the australians do everything a bit slower, even Father's Day).

She still had some custard puffs which looked delicious so i decided to buy one to try there and then before lugging 20 or 30 back. It was yummy delicious. Each was very heavy, testament to the yummy goodness each globe of pure pleasure held.

Whilst i was making payment for our puffs, the lady said she had 6 extra 条s. Whoppeee.. we wiped them out, splitting 3 studels and 10 cream puffs each.

We made a blood pact not to tell our colleagues we managed to get some.

And there you go.

Each strudel came in box which was pretty sturdy.

But if u bought 6, they'd give u this carrier which was VERY sturdy.

Whilst at the infamously strict customs in Australia, i was checked by two officers. I knew one was a rookie when he asked the other "

I thought no liquids are allowed on the plane? Is custard allowed?"

To that, the old bird replied " Of course, it's Corica. It's a famous brand. People buy it all the time!"

Phew, else i'd have to finish 6 strudels and 20 puffs between my colleague and I.
